Do I need a doctor’s referral?
No. You can book with our physiotherapists directly. If you have a prescription, bring it, but it is not required.
Will my insurance cover it?
In most cases, yes. We direct bill plans including Alberta Blue Cross, Sun Life, Manulife, Canada Life and GreenShield, and we check your benefits before you arrive so you know about any copay up front.
What does a visit cost?
An initial assessment and treatment is $110 and a follow up is $90 for a single body part. WCB and motor vehicle injuries are billed to WCB or the insurer under their protocols.
How long is the first appointment?
Plan for about 1 hour. Follow up sessions usually take 45 to 60 minutes, depending on what you need.
How soon can I be seen?
Same week appointments are available, with evening times until 8 pm on weekdays and Saturday mornings. Send the form or call and we reply within 1 business hour.
What should I wear and bring?
Loose, comfortable clothes and supportive shoes. Bring your insurance card, plan and member number, and photo ID.
Does physiotherapy hurt?
It is meant to relieve pain, not cause it. You may feel some temporary soreness as weak muscles start working again, and your physiotherapist will adjust treatment as you go.
